Marie took her first yoga class on a lunch break, in 2013, at work. This is also when she first met Amanda Hatcher.
Yoga quickly became an obsession, taking the practice home to relentlessly work on poses until her practice became daily and Amanda soon recognized a potential in this quiet introvert, and started to encourage her to teach.
In 2016, Marie earned her AAAI-ISMA Yoga Instructor Certificate under Jennifer Miller and has since trained in workshops under Kino McGregor and Bryan Kest before finally working up the courage to share her love of yoga with others, a thing she considers an honor not to be taken lightly.
Marie's heart lies in Vinyasa flows and she enjoys teaching creatively, providing her students with the opportunity to slow down but also to occasionally challenge themselves. "Yoga has brought a spark of peace, confidence and humility to my life that I never knew. I want to inspire others to find their spark... and maybe sweat just a little in the process.".
Marie's other passions include hiking, kayaking, traveling, creating, cooking , raising her ducks and dogs, and nerding out with her best friend/husband.
